Budgets were stretched thin at Christmas all across the country, so what is a guy to do about Valentine’s Day? Well, this year Valentine’s Day is on a Sunday, relax. Sunday is after all the day of rest. Just let your local florist take care of it for you.
There is plenty of time between now and February 14th to make your Valentine’s Day go smooth and still make an impression. First, check out your local florist. Stop in, pull up their website or just call them to set up a delivery of flowers. Remember on this step that while the red rose is the common Valentine flower you don’t have to send them. Have your florist customize your arrangement with favorite flowers and colors. If you can’t decide what flowers, ask about specials for the holiday. Second, look at local restaurants for Sunday specials and if they are offering delivery. Maybe you can find her favorite type of food and have it sent right to the house. Third, find a local candy store and stop by sometime before the 14th and get some sweets for desert that you can pull out at the end of the night. Last of all, stop by a movie store on Friday or Saturday and pick up a good romance or comedy.
With a little prep work before Valentine’s Day you can sit back on Sunday February 14th and just let the florist, food delivery guy bring your romantic night to you. After dinner watch your movie while eating your chocolate and it will be like a great night out, only you never had to leave home.
Just remember to use local florists, restaurants, and candy shops to help your community and save money.
